On Thursday February 4th 2010 Sonesta was officially introduced as our Hotel Brand. The event took place in Pampus where important personalities of the Government such as Emily de Jongh- Elhage and the deputy Sra. Zita Jesus – Leito, attended. The Executive Vice President of the Sonesta Collection, Mr. Felix Madera, came to the island for the event.

On Thursday November 26th took place the official presentation of the hotel Group GHL, that is going to manage the hotel operation of Puerto Oasis, Hotel, Spa & Residences. The directors of GHL attended, as well as the partners of Puerto Oasis and local personalities of the island.

GHL was founded more than 30 years ago and has a great experience in the operation of hotels in Latin-American countries. GHL operates 37 hotels in 23 locations, in 5 countries, and has 3,628 rooms, employing more than 3.000 persons. GHL works with several international brands such as: Sheraton, Four Points by Sheraton, Sonesta Collection, and Howard Johnson.

On Tuesday November 17 we celebrated the official presentation of the team of CWM Infrastructure, daughter of Janssen De Jong Caribbean, which took place in the offices of Puerto Oasis, Hotel, Spa & Residences in Curacao. CWM Infrastructure will start the work on the earth movement and the infrastructure of the Project next week.

At the meeting were present the team of engineers that will work at Puerto Oasis and the directors of CWM Janssen de Jong.

CWM Infrastructure specializes in the construction and maintenance of standard infrastructure, together with special projects such as aircraft runways. It was founded in 1953 to construct Hato Airport. Since this time, it is playing a very important role in the development of the Islands infrastructure.

CWM Infrastructure has completed an enormous variety of projects, including the infra structure of the Koraal Specht prison, neighborhood development St. Jago, reconstruction Seru Fortunaweg, laying of cable lines Nedwind (Windmill Park), land development project Brakkeput Ariba etc.

Janssen de Jong Project Development is part of Jansen de Jong Group BV, a multinational enterprise with a wide range of construction activities in the Netherlands, Eastern Europe and the Caribbean.

Today was the official opening of Puerto Oasis, Hotel, spa & Residences. The event took place in the terrain of Puerto Oasis where numerous authorities of the Government, private Banking and press attended. The minister of Infrastructure, Mr. Anthony Godett, addressed the audience expressing his gratitude to the investors for their confidence in Curacao. The total investment will be 90 million dollars which will create an increase in the employment of the island.

The event ended with the unveiling of the billboard and a toast with champagne.
